Aizawa was attached to his students. He couldn't deny that fact. He just didn't expect them to grow attached to him as well.

There’s a first time for everything.
The first time everyone crammed in Momo’s room to study, a mess of limbs and books on her bed.
The first time Mina burned crepes so badly the smoke alarm went off.
The first time a jumpscare got Sero so badly, he flipped off the back of the couch.
The first time Uraraka fell asleep at the table and accidentally sent it floating.
The first time someone realized Todoroki walked far too quietly, and far too cautiously around the dorms to be normal.
The first time Midoriya broke his toe on a door frame and kept walking through it.
The first time Kirishima woke up screaming through the walls.
The first time Tsuyu blanched at the sight of a needle.
The first time Bakugo dropped, clutching the back of his neck with eyes scarily vacant and detonating everything around him until Aizawa had to intervene.
It wasn’t always pretty, but the dorms were filled with firsts.

“You train with Bakugo?”
Uraraka frowned at the incredulous tone of her voice. As incredulous as Tsuyu’s deadpan got, anyway. “Yeah, just some sparring and some quirk work. Nothing crazy.”
“He really must have changed. Last time Kaminari asked to work with him he near bit his head off.”
The beer bottle shot a little higher with Uraraka’s surprise. “Release,” she called, and neatly caught it when it dropped. “Really? He’s the one who asked me.”

A paramedic is wrapping gauze around Shouto’s leg when Katsuki pushes through the hastily set-up triage station and stalks up to him, face pulled into a scowl. He starts rapidly signing, his fingers a blur, and Shouto closes his eyes. He can’t focus. The adrenaline has seeped away, leaving a gold halo in his vision and a deadweight fatigue in his bones.
Katsuki snaps his fingers in Shouto’s face.
“Look at me, asshole,” and it’s a little too quiet for Katsuki’s voice, but the same curling vowels, the same husky quality Shouto has seared into his memories.
Shouto squints at him and pulls his hands in front of his body, running his fingers lightly along the back of his other hand to his wrist. Slow.
Katsuki comes out as deaf and starts a revolution in the hero industry. Shouto watches sign language tutorials on YouTube.
- Part 1 of (they say you and me are) tautology
Post Civil War, Tony has to build a new team of Avengers.
Aside from new recruits, there are also two well-known Avengers that return to Earth – with a ship full of refugees. New and more functional Avengers rise from the ashes of the old and new alliances, new friendships and even new relationships are formed.
Though the biggest wild-card proves to be Loki, not entirely unexpected.
