Generally, the goal of any successful time traveller is to manage changes to the timeline as delicately as possible, to ensure no surprises crop up that end up taking things out of their control. To that end, secrecy and discretion are the best tools one can have.
Too bad this is Midoriya Izuku we're talking about, as well as a rather unplanned trip down memory lane. Delicacy when there's a limited time frame to save everyone a lot of heartbreak and trouble? He'll pass, thanks.
As for secrecy? Well, funny story, that...

Izuku Midoriya’s father is a Hou-ou — a Japanese phoenix.
For some reason, this means yokai have a standing invitation to pester Izuku with their existence. Birds assemble choirs for his birthday. If there’s no cedar leaf under the welcome mat, the amazake babaa that lives two apartments over will be knocking on their door by evening. His yokai-purifying excursions get mistaken for vigilantism far too often.
(What’s going on with All Might? Is Principle Nedzu a yokai? Tokoyami, could you please get Dark Shadow to stop calling me ‘my Lord’?)
