    Summary

The town with pep grows sombre as the reality of what is about to happen draws closer. The men – boys – in their town will be leaving soon; will go overseas to fight for their country. Boys who Betty has known her whole her life, who she grew up with and went to school with and never went a week without seeing. Most of them have never left the country – some of them have never even left their hometown – and now they will be on the other side of the world with a huge responsibility on their shoulders.

And among all of the worry and sadness, Betty can only focus on two people – Archie and Jughead.

    Summary

"But looking at this kid—inexplicably called Jughead—glowering at him with blue icing around his mouth, Chic feels completely out of his element. At eight-years-old, Jughead gives off an intense vibe that Chic has never encountered before: the winning Cooper smile didn’t move him, and they sit in thick, uncomfortable silence."

Or, Chic and Jughead join the Big Brother Big Sister program. AU, eventual Bughead. Inspired by a prompt from jeemyjamz on tumblr.

    Summary

“Betty,” Jughead interrupts. His voice is lower now, and the resignation might even be scarier than the yelling. “We’re not soulmates. We can't.”

And therein lies the crux of the problem.

Jughead never liked Jane Austen. But the moment he finds out that Pride and Prejudice is Betty’s favourite book, he reluctantly borrows it from the library. What he finds is a story worth staying up for, and the courage to tell Betty how he feels about her.

    Summary

    “So who keeps the diner?”

    “What?”

“If we’re really doing this, if everything between us is through,” Jughead elaborated with his jaw clenched, “whose territory is Pop Tate’s?”

    --
Betty is forced to look Jughead in the eye and make sure that he knows exactly what her message is, so she does just that.
