Summary
Everyone thought that when Naraku was defeated, that the adventure was over, that the well would stop working— that Inuyasha and Kagome would finally be able to fall in love and marry. We believed that everyone would finally get an end, a happily ever after, one way or another after so much hardship and loss.
They were wrong. So blindly, stupidly wrong— for Kagome, it was only the start of a larger journey, and an even higher purpose. The likes of which she would never have believed to be possible.

Absolutely breath-taking. Well researched, unique and creative, this is a fascinating take on shintoism and the effects kami has on Kagome. The slowest of slow burns when it comes to this pairing, however it stays true to their characters and the inbetween are delightful page turners. Am faithfully awaiting to see this story complete for the long haul.

A creative take on a rainy day ritual Kagome and Sesshoumaru have. The series of snippets are bite-sized and well-paced, peppered with wholesome moments, humour and blooming love. The author also wonderfully handles Inuyasha and Kagomes friendship.

All-time favourite Cleno fic with the RuTi tag. Brevity is the soul of wit, and the writer handles this marvelously. Everything written has a distinct flavour; the dialogue between Cloud and Reno are the highlights that will leaving you starving for more. A very well done piece of art.

Summary
"It’s 2004 and not caring is trendy. You’re only as cool as the lack of a shit you give about anything, or anyone, especially yourself.
This is the part I play, and I’ve played it well."
Cloud Strife is sixteen, dealing drugs, and self-medicating on alcohol. And he's fine with well that traveled road.
Until Reno decides to inject himself into his life, tear up that path, and challenge Cloud every step of the way.

Bookmarker's Notes
An absolutely timeless fanfic in the Cleno fandom. This serves as a unique era piece to the early 2000s; the writer seamlessly blends modern day with beloved characters and fearlessly weaves some of the most tragic, terrible relatable flaws teenagers act on without holding back punches. Cloud and Reno embody the uncertainty of teens; wanting to do the right thing but fucking shit up, badly. Keeping toxic friends closer than genuine friends. Taking the most self-destructive road albeit trying to be a better person. Growing up with a fractured identity and learning, the hard way, what agency truly means. All the while struggling with sexual identity. Hurt, resentment, love, hate, dedication, betrayal, freedom. A concoction of feels.
There is as much humour as there is heartbreak. If you avoid AU tags, much like myself, give this one a go. I've never been happier to be proven wrong.
