Hermione Granger-Black was not a broken woman; not by any stretch of the imagination. She was a woman with a plan (as was usually the case with her), and she knew that somewhere beyond this place of wrath and tears she would find a reality worth living in. Hermione was a woman that would wrench the world apart for taking her last shred of love away.
Maybe she was broken after all.

Harriet Potter was born with a different name once.

It didn’t see their fate coming, though really they both should have.
The norns are never kind.
(or; in which Harriet Potter was once known by the name ‘Hela’ and the many consequences this brings.)

Victoria Potter died a hero, murdered by Voldemort at age 17.
This is common knowledge. Victoria Potter is no more.
Which is true...in a way. Victoria Potter certainly doesn't exist anymore. But no one told Visenya Targaryen she couldn't exist.
It starts like this: a little girl -any little girl- trembling in a forgotten corner of London, eyes empty and seeking.
The evening forks. It splits in two. It splits and splits and the crux of the issue is this: when lily breathes in deep, late at night, her lungs curdle with chlorinated water and ash. Her hands never shake but they twist and bend, empty now. Empty ever since she left.
One day, she’ll move on. One day, her life will be defined by more than absence. For now, she’ll keep moving. For now, the evening will keep splitting and life will continue. For now, we must all make the best of what we have.
Or: fem!Harry is abandoned in London when she’s small, when she’s still breakable, and she rebuilds herself from there.
