    Summary

A sentinel could spend most of their early years without a guide. By their mid-thirties if a sentinel had yet to form a bond with a guide their senses would start to lose focus and precision until they became overwhelmed and went insane.

Tony was in his forties and the bond he had was a thin string that could be snapped with just one word, and it was the only reason why Tony wasn’t locked up in an asylum for sentinels.

Even with his bond though, Tony was deteriorating, unable to control his senses and becoming overprotective of his teammates.

If he didn't increase the strength of his current bond or find a new guide who he could bond better with then he would be locked up for life.

Too bad Starks have a history of having trouble bonding, and Tony's already tried every technique to strengthen his bond with his guide.

Oh, and let's not forget his guide was none other than Mr. Perfect himself: Steve Rogers.

So really? Tony was screwed unless those bonding techniques started working, because who the hell else could bond with him and do it better than Mr. Perfect?

    Summary

There was a reason, though that he worked sixteen-hour days – money being just part of it. The less free time he had, the less time he had to wonder about what happened to him before he got here. Less time to contemplate the meaning of his dreams.

The Winter Soldier doesn't remember much at all. Just fragments of someone else's life in long cryo-dreams. That is, until someone wakes him up for real.

    Summary

The story about that time Stephen got tired of his incessant nagging and put Tony in time-out, sending him back to the year 1944. Of course, it was only a matter of a few short minutes before Tony found himself bumping into a couple of old friends. Steve Rogers? Oh, he looked the same. Sergeant James Barnes, though? Tony had a hard time thinking he was the same man he called the Winter Soldier. With a little more time, perhaps, he could come to terms with it.

It's just too bad that time-out's temporary.

    Summary

Tony Stark told himself he tried to keep a low profile, even if Pepper and Rhodey would argue the statement till they were blue in the face. He kept himself out of any S.H.I.E.L.D. contracts, didn't blow up M.I.T. buildings despite the students that tried to help him in the endeavor, and kept careful track of his contracts. None of them knew what was in his basement though. They'd be killed if they did.

But a set of blue eyes attached to a too-well known soldier comes along and threatens that lifestyle. Because Tony Stark can't help falling hard and fast when the White Wolf keeps coming back.
