“Do you see the rabbit?” Wei Ying asks and points at the moon. “That’s the moon rabbit, he helps make Chang’e more immortality elixir. He keeps Chang’e company.”
“I do not wish the rabbit for company,” Lan Wangji says tightly. “You are the one I want by my side.”
“And I’m here, Lan Zhan. If you go to the moon, I’ll follow you, I’ll always be here now.”

Summary
“You know,” he says, eleven days after he started bringing Lan Xichen his lunch, “the Grand Master has added another twenty rules in these last two weeks alone.”
The door is closed and he’s leaning back against it, forearm braced on his knee as he lounges on the step. From inside, he hears a soft snort that sounds like Lan Xichen heard him.
“Including one specifically about not having any kind of spices in the kitchens, which feels really petty, if you ask me. And one stating, specifically, that no one is,” he mimics the low timbre of Lan Qiren’s voice and the way the older man strokes his beard even though he can’t be seen, “Do not approach or talk to Wei Wuxian.” He huffs out a breath, “Talk about making someone feel unwelcome, Zewu-Jun. I don’t know if I should be honoured or heartbroken that I have become so hated that I have been immortalised on your wall of rules.”
Lan Xichen is in isolation. Wei Wuxian visits him. Together they find their way back to happiness, to clarity and to home.

Summary
The universe had not prepared Wei Ying's poor heart for the man who strode into Latte Mugs Cafe at five after six, riding the crest of the crisp December air like some sort of angel in a white wool sweater. The door’s bell rang far too muted than was usual.
Wei Ying stared for what his racing heart later deemed a good five minutes before his gaze, somewhat distorted by the glass of the display he was arranging, rose to meet the man’s golden eyes. Oh, crap.
He shot to his feet, waved nonsensically at the man, shouted some rendition of “We’ll be right with you!”, and bolted through the door to the back room, whisper-yelling for Mianmian.
As soon as the door swung shut behind him, Wei Ying put a hand on his wildly thumping heart and paused to calm his breathing. Why is he here?
Or, Wei Ying's soulmate walks into the coffee shop having forgotten their bond.

It happened like this: Jin Ling was a sect leader now, which was, and Jingyi really meant this, fucking hilarious. There were few things funnier, in his honest opinion.
Because he was young, and inexperienced, and also — it had to be said — a real shithead, there was apparently some belief amongst his advisors that the best way forward, to promote the picture of a stable, mature sect leader who absolutely did not cry at the drop of a hat, was for Jin Ling to get married.

Summary
Lan Wangji’s heart stopped, then all of a sudden it was beating too fast. There were only four lines. Far shorter than anything Wei Ying had written even on his most boring of days. Four lines and each one stabbed Lan Wangji like a knife had manifested with each word.
Help.
Cursed.
Outside Lanling.
Wei Ying.
It took all of that renowned Lan strength to not crumple the letter. Instead, using precise and deliberate movements, he rolled it back up and tied it off with the ribbon once more. He set it delicately back onto the table and took several deep breaths. Then he took several more.
A new crack appeared in the table.

Wei Ying shook his head. "I had to move, to stay awake and- and figure it out. Couldn't sleep. He gets you in your sleep."
Lan Wangji didn’t miss the way Jin Rulan paled.
"It- it infects. Spreads. Stay away from people. Keep them safe."

A letter comes and Lan Wangji must find Wei Ying and help save him from the ghost that uses nightmares to torture him in his sleep.

Summary
The young man – confirmed to be unconscious and not dead, much to Lan Zhan’s relief – is not wearing a scrap of clothing. His face is smooth and peaceful, dark lashes trembling in the ocean breeze, lips parted softly. He lays in a bed of ruined roses, the red flowers and petals strewn haphazardly across his body.
If not for the unusual surroundings, the scratches and bruises blooming on his honey-coloured skin, Lan Zhan would think he is taking a nap.
OR
Lan Zhan is haunted by vivid dreams of a life long past. Also, he finds a naked stranger outside his beach house.
The two occurrences are closely related, somehow.
