He scolds himself for coming internally. What was he thinking? Even if he hadn't seen Wei Wuxian in weeks, in months, that doesn't mean that he has to personally visit him at his new home under the pretense of business with someone else - and even just thinking "new home" leaves a bitter taste in his mouth.

"He's the Yiling Patriarch--", he starts, but Zixuan doesn't want to hear any of it. It doesn't matter that the two have a somewhat hateful relationship and a bad past - he's still A-Li's brother and his son's uncle and, most importantly, he is a decent human being.
"He is, above all," he starts, tone final, "an esteemed guest invited by me personally on not only A-Li's wishes, but mine as well - who are you to not only question my decision, but also go directly against it and attack him? Who are you to rob him of the ability to go out into public without having people accuse him of doing something he did not even think of doing?"

Summary
It was well-known in GusuLan that Wei Wuxian rarely ever slept, and if he did, then not for long.
It was unclear whether it was because he didn't feel comfortable despite having been (reluctantly) accepted back on Hanguang Jun's wishes, or if he was perhaps paranoid about being attacked in his sleep.
In the end, it was what no one had even given thought to - nightmares.
