Nancy tires, but Jonathan just clasps Steve’s shoulder with his hand, surprisingly secure, and there’s such naked concern in his eyes that Steve wants to look away, but he doesn’t. “You’d tell us if something was wrong, right?”

Steve smiles. Slips out from Jonathan’s hold. “Sure,” he says. Nancy looks like she might cry. She also looks like she might kick his shins. Or someone else’s. That’s Nancy—all action, all the time. That’s Steve too, or he thought it was. Lately he thinks his thing isn’t so much fighting as it is running.

    Summary

After a year and ten months of following up on leads that led to nothing but ransacked buildings full of decimated HYDRA goons, Sam finds Bucky Barnes when the dude walks right past him dressed in skintight jeans, a jacket straining over the wall of muscle that is his upper body, and leather gloves, and heads into the gay bar next door.

In which Sam finds Bucky before the events of Civil War, and what they do in Paris has a profound effect on how the next several years of their lives go. Written as a companion story to the films and the series, canon compliant with a whole lot of secret feelings.

Sam wants the wings on, wants to take Bucky flying with him; he wants to be a Biblical angel, all holy light and a hundred open eyes so he can take in every inch of Bucky at once.

    Summary

    Newly renovated 10/1/21! :)

“Do you know what it feels like to be insatiable?”

Two months ago, an interrogation gone wrong left Sam with Bucky’s explicit words seared into his brain and body.

Now, Bucky is living in the Avengers Compound, making pancakes and wearing Steve’s huge sweatshirts, fluffy haired and a little shy, seemingly completely content to be on house arrest — and Sam has never been more confused. Whatever Steve thinks, Sam doesn’t have a problem with Bucky. This domesticity is just so at odds with the feral sexuality Bucky had used to rattle Sam during his interrogation. Where did that side of Bucky go? And why can’t Sam stop thinking about finding it? Maybe Sam does have a problem with Bucky… it’s just not the problem Steve thinks it is.

Set in a version of CA:CW where Zemo is apprehended before he can use the trigger words. While the resulting complexities are worked out around Bucky’s pardon, Steve’s actions, and the crumbling foundation under the Accords, everyone does their best to piece their lives back together at the Avengers Compound, especially a certain super soldier looking for a fresh start....

Bucky stood and stalked towards him. “Tell me what you’re really asking, Sam.” It was a demand, an order, and Sam couldn’t help but suck in a breath. Another step. “Is that what’s been going on? You’re not uncomfortable around me because of what I said,” Bucky mused. He reached out and began to run his hands slowly up Sam’s arms, gaining confidence when Sam didn’t pull away. How could Sam ever pull away when his body was screaming at him to push forward? Bucky’s voice dropped to a growl. “You’re uncomfortable because you want me to do it again.”

    Summary

It’s been a couple weeks since Bucky said that stuff about wanting to be tied up, and he hasn’t brought it up since; it’s just that now, Sam’s hyper-aware of how his eyes are all pupil when Sam pins him down a little, how he’ll struggle as much as he can without breaking Sam’s grip--which, okay, isn’t much--and the way he looks like it’s physically paining him not to beg for something Sam can’t give.

All of which is incredibly hot, and makes Sam determined to find a way to give it to him. Shit, a way to give it to himself, because there sure as hell is nothing selfless about this.

Standard-issue handcuffs probably won’t cut it, but whatever. They’ll have a good time trying.

Sam expected life as Captain America to come with new challenges. He didn't expect finding something strong enough to tie up his super-soldier boyfriend to be the one that defeated him.

    Bookmarker's Notes

And instead of feeling like too much responsibility, too much to keep track of, it puts Sam on top of the world. It’s one of those moments when he takes all the pressure that surrounds him into his own hands and it transmutes into something sharp and focused and perfect, leaving him feeling like coal crushed into diamonds.

God, Sam could get used to this. It could turn into part of him, the way the way the wings are part of him. Right now, he never wants to stop.

    Summary

Bucky whirls around. The man grins, holding his bag up. He recognizes him. From the fight at the Triskelion. This man had been at Steve’s side. Bucky remembers tearing a wing out, kicking him off the roof. It’s a mild relief that he’s alive, but only in the sense that that’s not another death on Bucky’s hands.

    Bookmarker's Notes

“I’m not gonna delude either of us into thinking I can date you,” Sam says, his breath warm against the side of Bucky’s head, just beneath his ear. “I mean, I can keep up with you, but you don’t need a boyfriend right now–”

Bucky moves to hug him back, arms coming up to hold Sam in place, suddenly afraid of letting go. His heart pounds so hard he’s sure Sam can feel it. “What if I want a… one of those?”

“You need a permanent address to land this boyfriend.”

    “Why?” Bucky asks, despite himself.

“I like to send presents. Drop by unannounced. Cook for my man,” Sam kisses the shell of his ear, making him shiver. “That sorta thing.”

“That sounds nice,” Bucky says, trying to imagine it. It’s too fantastical. Too unrealistic.

“It does, doesn’t it?” Sam says warmly.
