Summary
In bed it’s easier, he leans over Dean and forces him to catch his eyes.
“Dean.”
“What Cas.”
“I have to talk to you about the empty,” Dean doesn’t look happy about it, but Cas goes on, “When I experienced a moment of true happiness, the empty will be summoned and it will take me forever.” Cas can’t stop touching Dean, hands trailing and holding, and pressing.

Summary
Angie starts with the table nearest to the counter, spraying it down and taking a rag to it. She puts her back in to it, the tables aren’t especially dirty, but she still puts the extra effort in. Each section scrubbed in a circular motioned before being dragged neatly down. She thinks about Peggy never speaking to her again. She drags the rag down in another perfect stripe. Again, again, until the table is pristine, and moves on the the next. The same precise circles and then dragging repeated. She thinks about crying.

Summary
Steve looks thin -- like he looked when they first met, actually, fresh off the plane and jet-lagged, before seventeen months of sneaking Danny’s malasadas had taken the the edge off of all his sharp angles. There’s a ratty duffel lying at his feet and a wicked-looking scar curves over his left bicep, disappearing under the sleeve of his t-shirt, skin still pink and new.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Have you considered feigning illness? Or staging a dramatic yet non-life-threatening accident that will see you laid up for a week?”
“Bertie, I was wondering— I was hoping—” He had begun plucking at my pajama sleeve, which is always the lead-up to a truly stunning entreaty.
“Spit it out, old thing,” I said, patting his arm.
“You wouldn’t consider getting engaged as a distraction, would you?” he said all in a rush.
I drew myself up, which was no mean feat, since I was sitting in bed and clutching a cup of tea and was scarcely awake to begin with. “No, Gussie. No. I hate to dash the cup of joy from your lips, but I will not do this thing for you. I’m sorry.”
He looked at me with the large, bedewed eyes of, well, perhaps one of his newts. “But, Bertie, weren’t we at school together?”
“I’ll have no but-Bertieing from you, my good Gussie. I won’t do it.”

Summary
The pointed undercurrent of Stormcloak’s words resolves as you read the letter a third time. Having heard that your current circumstances are less than favourable… I can guarantee both your welcome and your safety here.
Having heard that you were tortured for three months in the depths of the Thalmor Embassy, he wishes to graciously extend the shelter of his castle and his faction. Perhaps he hopes that you’ve been embittered enough to abandon your own neutrality and take up arms with his cause, Dunmer or no. Perhaps even the great champion of Nord independence can make an exception for a Dunmer who is also Dragonborn, when the tactical and logistical realities of war begin to weigh heavily.
(A slowburn with bitter arguing, reluctant kinship, and romance in equal measures as the Dragonborn recovers from trauma, Ulfric is confronted with his major failings, and the plot lines of the game unravel everywhere.)
