Summary
Harry is removed from the Dursley family when he is eight years old, and enters the wizarding world a few years younger and a lot wiser. He discovers a surprising dark heritage, and develops goals that do not involve vanquishing a certain Dark Lord or becoming the Chosen One. Adopted into the Black family, Harry will fight against the expectation that he is to defeat the Dark Lord and instead dedicates himself to protecting the dark legacy that has been left to him.

Summary
Canon diverges at the end of S03 E07, "Digestivo"
After Will's rejection, Hannibal nearly gives himself up to the FBI. Fortunately, Chiyoh talks him out of it. Aspects of the idea had merit, and he's confident there are other ways to bring Will the rest of the way out of his chrysalis.

Will is depressed, living by rote in the empty shell of his old life. A visit from Hannibal, a final farewell, doesn't give him the closure he hopes for, and when the Ripper starts killing anew in Arizona, Will can't refuse the call.
