Jason/Slade is one of my favorite Jason pairings, and this story does not disappoint. If you like AU's and What If stories, this is a great one where Jason never became a Bat but instead is the only Wayne child who didn't go into the "family business". Enter gala that the Bats want some inside intel on, queue the world's deadliest assassin attending said gala, and a secret meeting in the Wayne Manor kitchen that the Bats don't know about and we get a set up for a pretty awesome story. I highly recommend this story if you like the Jason/Slade pairing.

    Bookmarker's Notes

This is an excellent story that takes place per the author post Batman #60 (though it references Batman punching Tim in Batman #71, so...*shrug*) and from my own observations is post Red Hood and the Outlaws #25 and references Roy's death from Heroes in Crisis and denoted in RHatO #27. Frankly, the author takes a lot of the trash from Tom King's run and pulls together a much more satisfying, intriguing, and interesting story using Owlman, Bruce, and Jason.

I can't recommend this story enough, and anyone who is a Jason fan or a Jason and Bruce fan should read this story. It's Grade A character work with an amazing premise that delivers in every way. It pulls all the right emotional notes, dealing with the crap doled out to us by Tom King and Scott Lobdell and spinning it into gold. It should be an example to DC how the Bat family is a FAMILY and how the fallout of what Bruce did to Jason in RHatO#25 and Bruce's bad parenting (especially in the New 52 and Rebirth reboots) can be handled in a way that's believable and leaves hope for something better.

    Summary

Unlike the others who are so eager to please that they practically beam when he gives them a hello, Jim hasn’t met this one face to face yet. As far as he knows, Hood is on the side of the heroes these days, but just barely. It’s been a confusing couple of years. There’s a duffle bag with eight heads stuffed into it that he just can’t sweep under the rug.

There isn't a lot of stories that focus on Jason and Commissioner Gordon. This is a nice short story that's a great character piece, in a slice-of-life night on the Police Dept rooftop kind of way. The dialogue is great, with Jason being his snarky and witty self and Jim being so damn sincere it reminded me all over again why I love Jim Gordon. Jim's thoughts and memories of Robin Jason are simply wonderful. I definitely recommend it to Jason fans or Jim Gordon fans as it captures the best of both characters, while being funny, charming, and heartwarming.

Excellent series that hits the perfect note of fluff in this Good Dad Bruce universe that focuses on the relationship between Jason and Bruce. The first story is Robin Jason, and the second story is Red Hood Jason. I absolutely love this Jason and Bruce, and I'm hoping the author will continue to expand her universe so we can see more of them. Characterization, dialogue, and storytelling is sublime and I highly recommend if you love Jason, Bruce, or the familial relationship between the two.

Eddie's visiting his Aunt's grave when he's almost caught in the crossfire of a fiery battle. More surprising, while the person who saves him isn't out of place in a graveyard, that he's alive there definitely is.
Or, Jason gets swept up on his way to the Titans Tower and winds up reuniting with an old friend instead. Oh, and hit by a fireball.

    Bookmarker's Notes

This is an excellent Eddie and Jason story. It takes place after Aunt Marla's death and set during and after Under the Red Hood. I adore this idea for an AU, and I highly recommend it if you like Eddie or Jason. It's a well written story with some great characterization work. The friendship between Eddie and Jason shines.
