"A what?" Maybe Pran hadn't lost his mind. Maybe the rest of the world had just decided to go crazy when he wasn't looking and no one had bothered to update him on the situation. That would be just typical.
"What did you think was happening?" Pat asked, incredulously. Pran threw up his hands.
"I don't know, Pat! But my first thought, weirdly enough, wasn't that you're haunting me!"

"Well, I'm not used to saying nice things to you yet."
Pran realizes a second too late that he's let his guard down. The hand on his cheek slips behind his head, and Pat's other hand grabs his side, and with a distressingly little amount of effort he flips them over. Suddenly, Pran is looking up at Pat, who is smirking down at him again.
"I guess I'll have to practice," Pat says. He dips his head down so that his mouth is right next to Pran's ear. "Let's start right now."

Paa can't even pretend to be surprised, really. Pat might be good at hiding things from their parents, but she's always been able to see right through him. As much as he's always enjoyed attention from girls, it's always been about flattery and competition, and never the girls themselves. In fact, he's never even dated, as much as he might tell their dad otherwise. Flirting, sure. Pat's good at that. But never anything more. And since Paa is pretty sure she's the only one who knows, besides Pat himself, she's kind of been expecting a conversation to happen at some point.
She wasn't expecting it to start because she walks in on him ogling their neighbor, though.
