“I, uh,” Dick swallowed, throat suddenly very dry, “I was on the phone with my dad when I heard them. In the alley. I thought he’d hung up or the call disconnected or something.”
Amy was silent for a moment, before squeezing his shoulder. “Good thing it didn’t,” she said. “Who knows how this might’ve turned out, even with your… side job skills.”
Dick huffed, leaning his head against the door of the ambulance when it became too heavy to hold up on his own. “Didn’t want him to hear that, though,” he confessed, the combination of everything making him spill words he normally would not have.

He wondered where Jason was right now, what he was doing. Probably sleeping, he hoped. Yes, that was it. Fast asleep in his apartment, probably wrapped up like a turtle in the covers. Drooling on his pillow. Blissfully dreaming of muscle cars and guns, or whatever it was teenagers dreamed of. Even though he was twenty now, and not a teenager anymore.

...and the one time he lets them see it
aka 5 times the kids torment Bruce, and the time that he actually arranges a meet-up and minds are blown
The thing about Jason's decision to make up with his family is that now he's trying to make up with his family. He's never done anything like this before. He's got the feeling that his family's actually been pretty crap in some ways. He's got the feeling that he's sabotaging his own efforts.
Turns out, that much anger - his own, and his family's - doesn't go away just like that.

Being transported to the past is not the sort of thing one normally expects. But this having happened, and with no easy way back, Jason's determined to make the most of it. Though the Bat still stalks Gotham's streets, the city's crime is run by the mobs instead of the rogues. There's no Joker yet.
There's no Robin.
Maybe there shouldn't be.
