won’t be flying out until the morning now thanks so much for your support xo

Alexis replied almost instantaneously: Yum! a whole night to myself!!!!

David tossed his phone into his lap, throwing up a hand. “Unbelievable.”

On the other side of the power outlet, the guy was making a heartfelt attempt at giving David some privacy, pointedly ignoring his theatrics. Only now, David was almost desperate for some pithy small talk, or a chance to commiserate about this miserable fucking situation they found themselves in. Perhaps even a drop of sympathy, which he clearly wasn’t going to receive from any of the contacts in his phone.

David cleared his throat and shifted toward the man. “So,” he began. “What brings you to Toronto Pearson International Airport this fine evening?”

The guy looked up at David like he couldn’t believe he had actually deigned to speak to him. He stared at David for a beat longer before glancing over his shoulder, looking out the window he was leaning against.

He turned back to David. “Someone told me the weather was great this time of year.”

AU. David and Patrick get snowed in at the airport. Sometimes, it only takes three days to fall in love.

    Summary

David was gifted a vacation from Wendy as part of his separation package. Patrick was going on the honeymoon-that-wasn't on Rachel's insistence. Neither of them knew what a little harmless flirting at the airport would lead to, but vacations were for adventures, right? It had nothing to do with the free upgrades or how attractive their 'husband' happened to be. Right? Right.

“Okay,” David said. But he didn’t move, just smiled at Patrick, a small twisting of his lips to the side. As Patrick opened his mouth to ask him what was wrong, David shook his head and leaned in. His free hand came up and cradled Patrick’s jaw, and he kissed Patrick. It was a soft kiss - all sweet and gentle and barely there - and it lasted a grand total of two seconds.

Patrick felt like he’d taken a line drive square to the gut.

David tried to ignore how the sight of Patrick- staring into the ocean, wind-tossed, swaddled in thick-knit wool, and looking downright beautiful with the early morning sunlight bouncing off his curls- made him feel at home for the first time in years.

Or, David returns to his hometown of Peggy's Cove and reconnects with an old aquaintance, a fisherman by the name of Patrick Brewer.

    AKA the long-awaited Fisherman AU.

    Summary

This covers a few days after their first kiss. David is overly cautious. Patrick wants more.

Patrick heard a sultry guitar over the sound system.
He’d always been incredibly sensitive to music. It had a unique power over him, easily lifting him up or making him cry. Even the same song could soothe or irritate him depending on his mood. It had to match to feel right. He felt even more sensitive now. And this. This matched and had snapped him to attention. It gave him thoughts--well, it gave him more thoughts. This tune felt like sex to Patrick and he was here for it. The languid guitar licked up his spine.
    (oh David)
