“You have to tell me about the rules,” Lan Xichen says, voice serious and even, but Jiang Cheng sees the lines of worry in the corner of his eyes.
“It was fine to not know them before, but now that Jingyi and Sizhui are here, I have to know. Jingyi is—loud and enthusiastic and he shouldn’t have to suffer for that.”
“No, he shouldn’t,” Jiang Cheng slowly agrees, still not exactly following where Lan Xichen is going with this.
“Then tell me the rules, so I know what to tell him. Where to be careful. What he’s not allowed to do.”

“You never did tell me what happened in that other world,” Jiang Xichen lowly says and Lan Wanyin shrugs.
He doesn’t think anything that happened to him in that world is worth mentioning, but he guesses that Jiang Xichen has burned to ask this question for a long while now.
“Fine,” he sighs and pulls down Jiang Xichen so he sits pressed up to his back and he puts his hands over the arms around his middle. “I’ll tell you.”

When Aizawa Shouta was five years old, he became aware of two facts: That he was Quirkless, but that he could SEE Quirks.
Except, by the time that his Quirk finally does rear its head, Shouta makes no correlation between his Quirk and the fact that he can see everyone else's Quirk in dancing, vibrant colors. He goes his whole life believing that this is someone everyone else can do. But when Class 1-A suddenly has a very hard time understanding what he is trying to explain to them, Shouta gets somewhat of a rude wakeup call.

The kid clings to Shouto. Even with the dust and the rubble still caught in her hair, even while he’s still covered in soot from having burned through any obstacle to get to her. She clings onto him and he’s a safe haven from all the chaos.
Katsuki can’t say that he blames her. He feels that way about Shouto too.
