This series is an amazing study of how Steve and Danny get together from both perspectives. Both voices are incredible: both actual voice and subconscious. Brilliant work.

It felt wrong for Steve to sound unsure of his place in Danny’s life. His place in Danny’s life was at Danny’s side, driving him slowly insane. Steve should feel secure about that.

This is the only story this writer has posted in this fandom and the grasp on the characters is exceptional. But mostly the scorched earth expressions on Steve’s SEAL friends upon “experiencing” Danny for the first time is genius.
