(Sequel to Broken Mirrors)
Eugene, Cassandra, Lance, and Varian have done the impossible: they've taken down a servant of Zhan Tiri. Now that Rapunzel is free, they're faced with the daunting task of continuing their journey, whether it be back to Corona or onward to the Dark Kingdom as Adira advises. Either way, they're going to have to face guards hot on their trail, conniving strangers, and their own inner demons.
Between misplaced blame, trauma, and a gut-wrenching warning, Rapunzel's chains won't be the only bonds that break.
- Part 2 of Broken Things
Varian stops by Rapunzel's room to tell her goodbye before leaving for Old Corona. He didn't expect to find her painting.

We all know the story by now: Eugene died saving Rapunzel from captivity. But what if he didn't? What if Mother Gothel had had her way, and she left with Rapunzel, hoping never to be seen again?
What if Cassandra, wanting validation and recognition from her dad, had followed Flynn Rider into the woods?
What if, despite Rapunzel's noble sacrifice, Eugene and her destined friends find a way to get her back?

(Sometimes, they backfire.)
A couple of scene rewrites exploring the idea of Avani being the Plague Doctor instead of Soisha, and what that entails for the team.
