    Summary

Bilbo has never been good at telling the "true" story of what happened on his journey to the Lonely Mountain. Now he's trying to turn the tale of his quest into a lighthearted children's book-- a bedtime story for his young nephew Frodo. But what really happened on his journey? And how did it actually affect him?

This is a comic adaptation/retelling of the Hobbit! It's framed as a bedtime story that Bilbo is telling a younger Frodo.

"Going grey already?" Thranduil says in a bored voice. "By the stars. I had counted on you keeping your hair for at least another ten years or so."

At first Bard is shocked, then a little annoyed, but as the comments continue he learns to play along.

A "What if Faramir went to Rivendell instead of Boromir?" AU
Faramir travels in Boromir's stead to Imladris, there he joins in the Council of Elrond and becomes part of the Fellowship of the Ring. Similar to Tolkien's own style, the perspective will change back and forth between Faramir's account of events and Boromir's. This fic is my pride and joy and I'm very pleased to present it to all of you!

Soulmarks were a decidedly mortal phenomenon.

While most races regarded all elves as a cypher, too removed from the trials of mortality to merit much consideration other than absent-minded awe or jealousy, this much at least was something that everyone knew. Elves didn’t have soulmarks.

This assessment was largely accurate. It was not, however, the complete truth.
