Summary
When the news of Lan Wangji's disgrace and punishment is leaked into the cultivation world, the GusuLan elders decide that a marriage into the Jiang Sect is the only way to restore their Sect's reputation. But Lan Xichen is not willing to sacrifice his brother to a marriage with the Jiang Sect Leader, and takes Wangji's place in taking the bows.
Lan Wangji doesn't care for anything except mourning Wei Wuxian and raising A-Yuan. He never thought he would end up being promised to Jiang Wanyin who he hates.
Jiang Wanyin just wants to raise both his nephews, even if it means giving up Zidian to Madam Jin, and marrying Hanguang Jun. He never expects to find himself ending up married to the first Jade of Lan instead.
When he convinces both Jades to let Wangji come to Lotus Pier with A-Yuan and play at being his husband, the three embark on a charade that will destroy theirs as well as their Sects' reputations if revealed.
