Coincidentally, the physical effects of romantic and sexual desire match up very closely with the physical effects of fear. But it's not a problem-- it's not like anyone is going to be able to hear the way your heart speeds up, or see the minute dilation of your pupils, are they? They'd have to be some sort of Superhuman to do that.
And what's worse than a Superhuman hearing that quick pulse and seeing those dilated eyes and concluding that you're in love with them?
A Superhuman hearing that quick pulse and seeing those dilated eyes and thinking you're terrified of them.

Tony's injured, night is falling, and he's stranded in a cabin with a handful of teammates who are woefully under-equipped to deal with the oncoming wave of HYDRA soldiers that are about to blow down their door and pick them off.
Honestly though, Tony's more pissed about the fact that this all happened during Christmas. Were everything going to plan, he'd be copping a feel with Captain America under the mistletoe right about now.
Sometimes he really hates his job.

“They’re calling about an orphaned boy,” Pepper says, her confused frown clear in her voice. “His whole family was killed in a car crash, and when they asked him if there was anyone he could stay with, he gave them your name. He says you know him.”
Tony finally looks up, frowning a little.
“Uh, ok,” he says, and thinks that it’s probably some random kid he signed a poster for once who’s hoping to be adopted by Iron Man. “Not likely, but whatever. Who’s the kid?”
Pepper glances back down at her notes.
“Harley Keener,” she says.
Tony falls off his chair.
[Or, how Tony Stark came to adopt Harley Keener.]

What Peter's trying to say is: he didn't know that today's tour group was going to be Midtown High. Ned knew, but didn't say anything because he's a traitor, and MJ knew, but didn't say anything because she loves chaos, and look, the point is, Peter did not expect to glance up from the guts of one of Tony's prototypes and come face to face with his entire class, staring at him through the glass.

Aizawa Shouta was tired.
Crouched on the edge of the roof as he was, he observed the streets below him silently. He was coming to the end of his patrol, and if everything remained as it was, he'd be able to catch a decent nap before having to report in to the school for another round of proctoring.
Which, of course, is when he saw the kid being chased down the alley.
Or Izuku is your average 21st-century kid. Being sucked through a time-traveling portal and dropped in the middle of a fantasy world with supervillains was not his idea for a good start to the new school year. Good thing he has everyone's favorite underground hero keeping an eye on him. With a hero by his side, how much trouble could he possibly get into while trying to find his way back home?
