The day started off as any other day for newly-minted Sorcerer Supreme Stephen Strange.
Then the flip switched and the next 48 hours were filled only with grief, anger, and pain.
AU in which all Avengers are alive and basically a big family. Individual statuses are peppered throughout the story. That said, this is Stephen-centric; the others have only supporting roles here.

A few years after Thanos is defeated, Peter drops out of MIT and walks away from his responsibilities as the future heir of Stark Industries.
The world loses its mind.
As does Tony, which is Peter's number one reason for avoiding him and his phone calls. That's easy when the entire world thinks Tony is dead, but becomes significantly harder after Nick Fury places Peter under house arrest in Tony's secluded cabin after a minor infraction of the revised accords.

“Why are you making such a big deal over this?!” Peter all but growls, wishing he hadn't agreed to be trapped in such a small space with Tony.
“Because kid, I made a promise! So it would be in your best interest to listen to what I have to say."
“You mean your best interest.”
Tony slams on the breaks, startling Peter. Cars honk behind him, but their complaints go unnoticed as he swerves to the side of the road, turning his head and shouting “What has gotten into you Peter?!”
“What do you care?” Peter asks, Anger simmering and on the verge of exploding.
“I care a lot. Now ‘fess up kiddo, or do I have to call May?”
The car gets quiet, the low rumble of the vehicle mixing with the labored breaths of its occupants. Tony is glaring at Peter, who reaches for the door handle.
“Go right ahead, won’t help anyway. Calling a dead person won't magically get them to answer.”

Peter never wanted this. He didn’t ask for the entire team to breathe down his neck whenever he eats, or to insist that he reaches some absurd goal weight when he’s perfectly fine where he’s at. He doesn’t need to change.
He just needs to stop day dreaming about killing himself. It’s getting distracting.
Or: 5 times Peter doesn't ask the Avengers for help, and the one time he does.
- Part 1 of Sometimes I Feel Like Giving Up
Lance says, “I feel like I’m dying,”
“You’re not,” Coran states, but his voice breaks, so he repeats it, firmer. “You’re not.”
Lance saved the world, but he's only a child. Coran is reminded of this in all the wrong ways.
