Halloween with the Avengers is unlike anything Tony has ever witnessed and Loki takes it to a whole new level
The Mighty Thor: Asgard's Worthiest Matchmaker (should not quit his day job) by Reremouse (TheBelfry)

The story is less about Thor than you would think. He shouldn’t quit his day job yet. So what is the story about? Loki is persuaded to give heroism a try, or at least take a vacation from evildoing, on Midgard for the low, low price of a bushel of magic apples. Meanwhile, Tony Stark is Tony Stark, living the dissatisfied life and bantering with anything that moves. Things proceed in an orderly and domestic manner right up until the point where Loki and Tony are whisked away to Muspelheim and must find their way home without magic, ideally before Tony’s wounds claim his leg, or worse, his life (though he thinks that’s probably an exaggeration).
Sincerest apologies to anyone who saw the first posting. This one is staying put.
Beneath the Underground is a place known as Underneath. It is a place about which not much is known, but what is known invokes fear. Magic works here, but it's twisted. Different habitats exist here, but they're...off. It is believed to be a place of terror, loathing and hardship.
It is a place for Monsters who disobey their King, for Humans who need escape.
You are the last human Soul needed to break the barrier, but before your Soul can be experimented on, the Royal Scientist opens a hole to Underneath. He tells you two things: "You'll be safer here. When you see him, tell him I'm sorry and this was the best I could do."

He could almost see it. Rough yet nimble hands moving lithely over wooden pipes, its bestial eyes burning like embers. The star, it too was a thing wild and enthralling, casting its spell upon him, like the realm of an old forgotten god.
Armitage burst into nervous laughter as he struggled to focus on steering the ship.
What am I doing? he muttered under his breath.
