Summary
He doesn’t know how many times it’s been, how many lifetimes he’s travelled through, almost as if he’s a passerby and not actually apart of it all anymore. Distant. Detached.
It’s understandable how that’s how he is now. He knows, all too well, the way things will inevitably turn out, as they always do. No matter whether it’s a new axis teetering on the cusp of familiarity, only barely getting the details right — upturned and changed and different — in the end, it’s always the same. All he seems to be able to do is watch and wait for the way these new, different, gears will turn.
But that time something was much too different. There was someone who had never been there before, who he suspected wasn’t meant to be there. Something had gone terribly wrong.
Because now a strange feeling lingers in his chest, one that he doesn’t think was never meant for you.
