Crowley knows it is his destiny to die in the second apocalypse, his perfect life with Aziraphale notwithstanding. But with a little help from the most unlikely sources, perhaps there is another way. That said, nothing comes without a price, and even his strategy to avoid being erased from existence has thorns in it.
“Please! You can’t. You don’t understand!” He makes it halfway to the dais before a guard’s sword is at his neck.
“You must be his father,” the queen’s cold, dark eyes take in his features, reading the resemblance of father and son like a map.
An idea—one last fleeting hope—leaps to his lips, “He isn’t man-grown. He’s still a child by our laws.” His words shake with his terror for his son and he waits.
“Laws have been broken,” the queen says without a hint of consideration. “I cannot afford to appear weak. I am not moved by your blubbering.”
It was only then that Hank realized he was crying. Not heavily, but a tear trickles into the corner of his mouth like salt on a wound.
“Take me instead,” he falls to his knees partly to beg but mostly because they can’t bear his weight any longer.

The 6th year of Hogwarts for Lance was hanging out with Hunk and Allura, pranking Shiro with Matt and Adam, riling up Keith and ignoring his crush on him.
It did not involve solving a murder.
'Man why was everyone so quiet?' He pushes past the crowd and stops dead.
The problems have just begun.
It wasn’t any of Hank’s concern who Connor dated. His purview over Connor’s welfare ended as soon as the court ruled his first husband’s death an act of self-defense. Still, it was hard to put the memory of Connor to rest when his face kept splashing across the front page. He had a brilliant smile that rivaled the sun. Much better than his new fiancé’s smug-yet-somehow-sour grin.
Hank’s concern for Connor morphed into wary surveillance after husband number two turned up dead less than two weeks after the wedding.
This started as a thread on Twitter. I had so many sub-plot brain bunnies for it, I decided to flesh it out into a fic.
