waaaaaaaa I'm always so incredibly soft for chenmark and chenle here was so adorable, aww. from the whole "I like boys now. I like mark. wow. okay." to thinking about taking Am I Gay quizzes (THE queer kid experience), to references to jensung (!!!!!) and renhyuck, all so good.
the writing overall felt very genuine as an inner monologue about figuring out a crush + your sexuality and I loved that. I'll forever support the tag "mark is chenle's gay awakening this is canon btw"

Really, he’s disgusting anyway. Because boys aren’t supposed to like other boys, and what will Yoongi say if he knew? How disgusted would Yoongi be if he knew?
If he were honest, if he were really, really honest, he thinks he may have liked Yoongi for a long time. A long, long time, since the days he followed him around like a lost puppy when he’d first arrived at their first dorm, sitting quietly in the corner of the studio and watching him compose and write lyrics and arrange tracks on complex equipment, wide-eyed with wonder.
If he were honest, he would also admit that he’s been trying to spite Yoongi for a long time, too, even before he realised why – things like saying their subunit is on break, things like ignoring his hyung, things like saying it’s all business between them. Because it is. Every time they did something together, Hoseok used to subconsciously remind himself that it’s all fanservice, it’s all for the camera, it’s all for their fans. Now, the pretence cuts even deeper. Hoseok no longer takes selcas with Yoongi, and they stop doing broadcasts on Vlive together. He forces himself to accept that Yoongi’s affection, his need for touch and skinship, it’s all just for show. His hyung putting distance between them of his own accord only serves as proof – Yoongi only wants Hoseok for one thing.
He knows that. He knows.

wow. at first i was really hurting for yoongi bc i could see how a lot of hobi’s actions could be misinterpreted on his end and just hobi’s overall flightiness/unwillingness to kiss on the mouth but then it really swapped and my chest was ACHING at what hobi was going through: feelings realization, SEXUALITY realization & the internalized homophobia that came with that, the lack of aftercare after having rough sex as a sub and how that impacted his self worth and his perception of his worth to yoongi. and the truth or dare game was SUCH a genius way to write their major turning point. wow the tension in that scene and just the way it was set up in general was amazing. you would’ve thought hobi would be the one to put in his black card while yoongi chickened out?! certainly not EYE! (and seokjin too! lmao). last thing is i love the way you set up the LY series to act as the overall theme. a journey with sope that lasts over a handful of years, LY: wonder & her happens and hobi explores the different types of love, which includes dance (all to wrap around at LY: Answer and write abt his love for dance — as a reader, that makes TOTAL sense) but also Love. Love. Love. he loves yoongi! cries! and conversely, yoongi writing seesaw about him and hobi. oh man. i applaud you starlitscales. YOURE TOO GOOD.thanks for sharing, i loved this so much <3
