Summary
Five years after the war, a plumpening Hermione resigns from the ministry to begin teaching at Hogwarts. Severus Snape is surprisingly alive, and has returned to do research at the school. Even more surprisingly... he's also put on over ten stone.
Now the burden of an entire nation is no longer on his shoulders, it seems that much of that weight has slipped and settled around his middle. Suffering serious moodswings, he has a love-hate relationship with his body (and his burgeoning sexual renaissance). As he and Hermione orbit into a passionate relationship, who else in the castle will notice the changes he's been through? Will Hermione be enough to satisfy his long-starved soul? Will Hermione be strong enough to support a severely depressed partner AND maintain her own mental health? SS/Adult!HG Romance with multiple consensual branching-off relationships / poly flair.

Summary
Ten years after the war, Severus Snape is delighted that Hermione Granger is returning to Hogwarts to teach. But Severus in particular struggles with his serious body issues: he's tipping the scales at almost 500 pounds, and it colors a lot of his life, for good and for ill. And chubby Hermione has significant emotional challenges, including emerging alcoholism. Will they be able to bridge their many challenges in order to create the greatest love story they've ever known?
Though conceptually similar to my other HG/SS fic, Growing, this fic has less angst and more focus. Characters are a little different flavors in this fic too: Severus in this story is much more Aspie and Mr. Darcyesque and Hermione is basically a Leslie Knope type.
