The tottering gait was a gaping wound in all their hearts. 'If Only' sang the saddest of all laments. ‘What-if’ held the greatest hopes. “...four men devoted to one another, from their purses to their lives; four men always supporting one another..." It was a perfect description of their unfailing and eternal brotherhood. Truly a merit to their namesake. The Inseparable Three grew into The Unbreakable Four. Just like that. It was always four steps together.

“However, you will have a touch on the world that few others ever have or will. You will help more people than you can count, you will have purpose. It is tiring, it is painful, it is rewarding, it is honorable. That is how it is to be Aes Sedai.” He let out a long breath so did she with him.
