Summary
Ensign Data (about 20 years before TNG) has been serving aboard his first ship, the USS Trieste, for only a few weeks, and is struggling with getting along with his fellow crewmembers. A decision to try and spend some free time in Six-Forward results in a confrontation with some bitter ensigns, despite Data’s best efforts.
