Wilbur was living a normal life, never had anything really exciting happen to him. He was just a normal guy in a normal life.

Tommy is a vigilante. This fact is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, going from foster home to foster home and hanging out with his best friend's Ranboo and Tubbo.
When he gets fostered by a new family, the Watson's, he does what any great sixteen year old would do- hide it from them. But when they catch him sneaking back in he has to come clean. Lucky for him they're cool with it.

“No, god no. You’d never catch me reading a book.” Puffy laughed and shook her head. “It’s an American movie from the 1950s. I think it’s a musical in technical terms. There were some problems with the movie itself, but a popular song came from it that just. . .I guess it just reminded me of this.”
He looked up beyond the brim of the umbrella at the gloomy clouds. “Must’ve been a pretty sad movie.”
“Some parts.” She agreed, lifting her free hand into the wall of water. “But that’s what makes it exciting, you can’t be happy all the time. If everything is happy then nothing is happy, so you lose that good feeling whenever you get it.”
Or: Wilbur travels across a post-apocalyptic Europe in attempt to find his little brother, Tommy. Risk, empowerment, and grief coils alongside his journey. He travels, and with that, he learns what exactly it means to be a survivor.

Kristin tries to prepare her son for the responsibility as best she can, good thing her advisors and their children are more than willing to help.
So when Wilbur takes over the throne and begins to fix the kingdom one problem at a time his friends are there for every step, even if he makes dumb choices.

The problem is, he’s wrong. Wilbur has not been granted the immortality of his father, and nothing Phil thinks will change that.
This causes more issues than it should.

Wilbur has been at this station for a very, very long time: still, for all the shifting shades with faces that vary from entirely strange to achingly familiar, faces which have taught him to expect to be mistaken in recognition, he knows he recognizes the woman at the newsstand. There is something about her, about her crows, about her face and voice and smile, that rings so true that Wilbur feels the familiarity in his bones.
"Call me Kristin," she'd told him when he'd first stumbled into the station. Her eyes held entire universes, and he couldn't help but stare.
