There's only so much Remus and Severus can hide from their son: his past, his magic, his heritage. Then two so-called rangers force them to accept that the world they're hiding from may be closer than they think. (Remus and Severus escape to America with Teddy--fast forward around ten years later.)
Remus Lupin had the life he had always dreamt for himself. He had a flawless lover and two lovely sons, he had caring parents and an exceptional best-friend. His world came crashing down when, on Samhain, he lost the most precious thing he ever had.
- Part 1 of The Wolf
Harry sees Draco as his little angel who’s too fragile for magical cuffs and anal hooks and the like, and Draco has decided to put a stop to those delusions. And he has got a sure-fire plan to make Harry come round, too, a plan involving a potion.
So what can possibly go wrong?

Teddy was born a werewolf. James gets bitten later in life (not by Teddy) and Teddy is there to help him through his first heat.
Fortunately, five years of dealing with monthly involuntary transformations into an essentially wild animal had equipped James with a profound sense of pragmatism and matter-of-factness in the face of most things that life could throw at him. Unfortunately, his current condition was completely outside of that realm. Between the headache, the nausea, the throbbing scar and the burgeoning erection—well, he was starting to feel a bit panicky. And completely useless.

OMG this fic is AMAZING! Seriously. I adore the a/b/o trope and the author did a seriously fantastic job incorporating so many wonderful werewolf and a/b/o dynamics. The relationship between Teddy and James is beyond fantastic and the sex, and the effect of the heat on them both, all of it was wonderful. There were so many amazing, charming moments, and James's voice felt wonderfully real and believable. It's a tried and true trope, but the author twists and modifies bits and pieces just slightly enough to make it feel engaging and fresh and new. LOVE!
