Today was a typical day in Amity Park. Just about everything went as it usually did:

Parents make a new invention that attacks him? You know it.
What wasn't expected however, was the random purple aura that encircled him and teleported him to who knows where. Now he has to put up with cultists looking for King Phantom? Can't he catch a break just once in his after-life? -

And Vlad is the stressed-out overprotective uncle that nobody knows Daniel has. Who honestly just wishes Daniel would stop trying to actively destroy himself and everything around him.

Danny has not truly trusted his parents for a long time, but Maddie Fenton had still been his mom. She, despite the cold gleam of the sun reflecting off her goggles, and despite the heavy barrels of the weapons she carried, had still been the woman he’d go to when he felt sick, or wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but didn’t have the motivation to make it.
Or, Danny has complicated relationships with the adults in his life, and they only grow more so as his world changes, following the day his mother doesn't come to visit him in the hospital.

Summary
Arikado’s problem from his earlier years surfaced once more, and has led him to a worse place than he’s been in, almost loosing his job once. The gang take immediate notice and struggle to intervene until one day he didn’t show up to work. Yoko showed up at his door, and finds out the heavy drinking, and what’s truly been behind the drinking with the blackout induced meltdown. True colors do show when one is drunk, huh?
He then proceed to learn how to trust again. Friendships being present was a step in the right direction. Julius intervenes, and earns the dhampirs full trust, giving him a better first time rather than what happened all those years ago. They build up their relationship from there, and things begin to get a little funky, especially with Arikado being the thoughtful bastard he is with his vampire shenanigans.
