    Summary

Twenty years have passed since the relationship between the Lord of Hell Beelzebub and the Archangel Gabriel was discovered. Gabriel has been demoted to a mere Messenger of God on Earth, and Beelzebub has been tasked by Lucifer himself to make him Fall and join the ranks of Hell. Holy wars abound in the wake of the failed Armageddon, keeping Heaven and Hell busy as Beelzebub slowly corrupts Gabriel, against their own will. Is there any way they can save their angel from Falling?

Temptation is meant to follow desire, but desire has no effect where there is only innocent obedience. That is how the Tempter beat Desire to the Garden.

Love belongs to desire, and desire is always cruel.

    Summary

When in Victorian England, Aziraphale reduces thousands of years of friendship to mere “fraternizing with the Enemy,” one very hurt demon is ready to forget the whole friendship. Aziraphale is never going to truly understand Crowley not just another evil denizen of Hell. Hopefully things are not beyond repair, because not only is Crowley in love with the angel and seriously pining after him, he believes Aziraphale needs to figure out that Heaven is not the Paradise he thinks it is.

A continuation of the Victorian London vignette in the "Hard Times" cold open. Mature tag is for Chapters One and Two.

“We will be most understanding when you fail.”

Gabriel had always assumed that Aziraphale had been the one to let the serpent into the Garden. He was the master of saying words that, if recounted, would sound completely appropriate despite their original delivery being decidedly unangelic.
