Dark interwoven conspiracies, ancient history covered up, grief and loss and those striving to avoid the mistakes of the past all collide, as the full magnitude of what is at stake slowly makes itself clear.

The suspects for both cases are then caught up in being suspected in a third case as one of the party guests is murdered, and it seems that the number of ‘cases’ only keep growing the more the two investigate.

Prompt from LadyMaegor: New idea if you like it and you're not too swamped at the moment. Tangled / Great Mouse Detective crossover story with Rapunzel x Rattigan pairing. AU where Rapunzel is The Queen's very sheltered granddaughter who wants adventure so one day she sneaks out palace. Rapunzel ends up in trouble and gets saved by Rattigan. Originally Rattigan only sees Rapunzel as useful new hostage / backup plan in that case that robot queen fails up working. However, he starts slowly warm up to Rapunzel and they start developing feelings for each other. Basically, Great Mouse Detective AU where Mouse Princess! Rapunzel ends up unintentionally bewildering and charming Napoleon of the Crime. This could be also fully humanized AU if that's works better for you. I know this idea is very weird and cracky. And I understand if you don't like it.

They were going to travel from their hometown of Tralee to London for "a better choice of husbands" was what Catrina told her parents. Admittedly, there were better lies that could have been told and it wasn't really her choice to bring her prettier, younger sister. But Julia was loyal to her, and her beauty brought in some sort of advantage for Catrina and her plans.
She might have been more plain looking, but she sure as hell wasn't going to be typical or dull. Not when she had a war path to carve through.

It was 1882, a year before Professor Padraic Ratigan would meet Basil Ratburn, and five years before the latter would become known as Basil of Baker Street, and the former would make himself known as the Napoleon of Crime. Five years before the game of brains would start.
That year, near the end of 1882, he was just at the end of his twenties, still growing his little criminal territory while remaining an Oxford professor. His adversary was younger but had been in the life of Mousedom’s underworld for longer than him. It was not a game of brains. Brains were part of only one tool that would be needed to win.
This game was of sheer brutality.
