“Hey Peri,” Benny says. “Long time no see.”

He’s sitting in the middle of the circle, criss-cross-applesauce.

Peri sits in front of him. “You know, I am really starting to think we were mislead on how this chalk works.”

    Summary

I decided that angsty wingfic for The Far Meridian was a necessity.

Just a memory of a soft evening atop a lighthouse, filled with unspoken words and un-nameable longing. Girls preening the wings of close friends is totally normal - unless you're pining sapphics suffering internalized homophobia. A continuation of the sunset scene in Ep. 1.10 Whitecaps. I promise it does end soft.

    Summary

A lost princess in a traveling lighthouse and an alchemist who stole the stars from the sky.

    --

There’s a tale about the royal alchemist who animated people made of clay with words in their earthen skulls carved from sunlight. As the tale goes, she destroyed them in a fit of jealousy, for her body held only bone and blood and the saltwater-substance of cells, and she couldn’t stand to see another creature so touched by day-writ words when she herself could never be.

There’s another tale that says the royal alchemist asked the king to build her a tower so she could climb up to the moon. The king tried, so the story claims, but even the highest tower couldn’t touch the sky, and she wept for so long that her tears formed a flood and swept the foundations away.

None of the events in these stories are true, but if you shake them until they crack, you’ll see truth glimmering from within them.

    Summary

I summarized this fic to my sister as "what might have happened after the perfect firefly evening if either of those girls had half the communication skills God gave Esther Roberts"

    Or, a first kiss fic.

Note: While there is a lot of sensual imagery here, I am super ace and I always end up writing my faves super ace. So if you, like me, always find yourself walking into shippy fic bracing yourself for the inevitable sexytimes, fear not! It ain't happening.
