Summary
Across the room, an old woman is angrily muttering something to the nurse at the check-in station, whose bloodshot eyes keep darting over to him and Tomas. Marcus can’t hear them but clearly it’s something about how this hospital is about to kill a priest. On Christmas.

Summary
“Being the only preacher in a small town like this takes a lot of guts. You need to be prepared to do things you might not otherwise do,” says Marcus. Tomas wonders if he’s being funny, but his face is deadly serious when he speaks. “These people are looking to you for guidance. To be their shepherd. Are you a good preacher, Tomas?”
“I am a very good preacher.”
The corner of Marcus’ mouth quirks up. “The Lord has tested you and you have measured up, I see.”
“Are you a man of faith?”
Marcus’ grin widens. He reaches for the zipper at his throat and drags it down, down, down, and Tomas’ eyes follow the movement before they fixate on the collar at his throat.
For a moment, Tomas is at a loss for words. Then, “You’re the man they’ve all been talking about.”
“Small-town folk do like to gossip.”
“They say you’ve been riding around the country, casting out unclean spirits. Is this true?”
“True as the word of God, darling.”

Summary
This is his favorite part, the only part of this that matters. The soul on the other side light as a feather, slipping from the confessional with strains of forgiveness thrumming under their skin, real as a song, a hymn shared by only the two of them and their Lord above.
Or the one where Marcus and Tomas are priests from neighboring parishes who have been toeing the line of friendship and intimacy for six months. Marcus finds comfort in providing absolution, while fighting to keep the secrets of his past at bay.

Summary
This would be Ye Olde Cuddling Naked in the Forest to Stave Off Hypothermia fic. Marcus and Tomas find themselves in the wilds of Canada without heat or electricity. The fire has gone out, and Marcus is a terrible bed-mate.
I opened the schmoop tap wide for this one. Also, there is probably a lot more humour than is generally appropriate in relation to a life-threatening case of hypothermia.
Written for the April Ex-O-Wri-Mo, and because the wonderful cutiesonthehorizon asked me to.

Summary
Tomas swallows. And Marcus fears he'll stop again, that he'll say for the tenth time that Marcus can stop this whenever he wants, that Tomas doesn't want to make him uncomfortable, that if Marcus flinches away, then Tomas won't force himself on him, that Tomas will never force himself on him, that Tomas could live his entire life with Marcus as he did before, honoring the vows he's already broken. He broke them with Jessica, who could touch and be touched. Tomas doesn't say this. He says, "You seem secure to me."

Summary
This story picks up right after the death of Andy Kim and goes in a slightly different direction, with lots of plot, oodles of hurt/comfort and eventual tomarcus. If Tomas had lived three thousand years ago, they might have called him a prophet. As it is, he is driven and manipulated by God, Marcus, Mouse, and a fallen angel named Samyaza. How can he learn to use his gift while staying true to God and not losing Marcus? Meanwhile, Marcus knows he is compromised because he will do anything to save Tomas, but there's no stopping that now. He might as well stick around and try to save Tomas from himself. Unfortunately, events have transpired that will try to get between them. Tomas has been manipulated into a deal with the devil...but it it possible this is a part of God's purpose for him? For both of them? Marcus loves God but sometimes he hates him too.

Summary
When Marcus first became a part of the Church, his life got better before it got worse. By the time he was twenty, he knew three things: 1) no one had ever explicitly said it was okay to want to kiss boys; 2) he was a fucking priest anyway, and these things weren’t allowed him, ever; and 3) no one had ever told him self-harm was wrong.
Tomas was something different altogether. Tomas was going to kill him. Also features: Marcus running away from his problems and his guardian angel doing face-palms.
