The young British boy learned a lot while being under the care of The Birch. How to look after himself while away from her. How to navigate through the thick forest. How to hunt live bait. Those are just a couple examples. However, the young teenager learned very, very quickly that his new guardian doesn't play around when it involves the rules she had laid out for the boy. Which, unfortunately, the lad found that out the hard and painful way.
