Summary
Lady Adrienne Fairfax had never gotten to know her betrothed. Lawrence Washington was a man twice her age who was arranged to marry her eldest sister, Anna. However, after Anna’s passing, she found herself being the only one who could have fulfilled the marriage contract, as she had none of her own. Anna died when Adrienne was 3. And by the time she reached 13, Lawrence was sent off to fight a war for King and Country. After that, he fell prey to the same illness that took Anna and died not long after. Her family considered this as a sign.
Adrienne had always been stupidly ambitious, and she intended to use his naive attachment to her benefit. Now, she was not a bad person, but she frankly had goals to reach. Goals that she’d never achieve if she did not jump at all opportunities to achieve them. Unfortunately, this godforsaken winter encampment was a sacrifice she must make to maintain her influence over the over-glorified Commander-in-Chief.

Summary
"You've heard of what happened in DC, right?"
There was not a single soul in the whole country that did not hear. Paramedics departments around the White House, president leaving the NATO summit. The entire country, regardless of the political option, seemed to hold its breath for one night when the media reported that the condition of the son of the president of the United States was allegedly critical and the boy might not survive the night.
John Laurens decides on one more pause in his career before finally heading to the university. As a result of this decision, he ends up at the heart of the darkest secrets of the White House and the president's family.
He may also fall in love in the meantime.
It does not make anything easier.

Summary
"The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph."
Elizabeth Walker knows her place in the world, but that doesn’t mean she is happy with it.
That doesn’t mean she is happy to be staying- to be sheltered- at her father’s estate while he deals with congress in York, and her older brother, Joseph, deals with the parties and games of Philadelphia, while she makes sure her house stays put- and out of British hands.
And that doesn’t mean she is happy to be dragged into the war itself, after months of defeats outside Philadelphia, when finally on a cold December night, a dying soldier shows up at her door, and his commanding officer follows.
But, deep down, a part of her is happy when it means change- change in the war, change in her life- when she is recruited by the young, passionate, and downright angry Major Benjamin Tallmadge to help revive the army’s dying supply system and keep the men staying at Valley Forge alive.
By whatever means possible.Series

Summary
His face is strong and square as if it were carved from stone. His hair is thinly powdered, enough to lock away the secret of the natural color from my perception and taunt my mind with wonder of what he should look like without it. But I remember it is a dark blond. His eyes are a light, tantalizing blue, glistening like the teal waters of the Caribbean. Beautiful and dangerous, enough to strike fear and wonder in my heart. His neck is tied in a frilly lace cravat, styled for a king but simple enough for a humble farmer. His shoulders are broad and garbed in his simple brown civilian clothes, but they were tailored enough to display his handsome figure.
I remember him to be John Laurens, the only man I’ve ever loved. The man who died and left me broken and beyond repair. The man who hid a wife from me. The man I betrayed. The man who helped me heal old wounds. The man who could never be replaced. The man who, in my mind, was never dead. The man who, in my mind, was never real.

Summary
“I think there shall be no more clambering up chimneys to read letters. If Hamilton’s letters truly so private, perhaps he ought not to be putting such into words.”
Tench Tilghman cannot possibly fathom why Meade should need to hide up a chimney (of all places!) to read correspondence from Hamilton—but he should be most certainly determined to find out.

Summary
[January, 1778]
John had felt on edge ever since, his bed felt as though it were ice with how cold it'd become without Hamilton's presence, perhaps colder with his return to be never. No. Hamilton had survived escaping the ambush at Schuylkill, if his obstinacy could exceed death herself then, then illness could never be the fatal hands of his doom — Or at least, that is what Laurens filled his head with as pathetic consolation.
(Or; Hamilton has fallen ill while out in Albany, the camp panics if they'll ever see their dear friend once more.)

Summary
“Where the hell did you get that brain, boy?” he finally asked, “because it sure as hell wasn’t from me. You’re right, I suppose. So I’ll offer you this. A position as my aide-de-camp. You may take this offer and stay serving, or decline it, and I will make sure you get discharged, I promise you that.”
“Sir-!”
“That is my offer, Captain. What will your decision be?”
“You’re not giving me much choice, Pa.” He sighed deeply and stood up. “Very well. I accept the position as your aide-de-camp.”
“Good. You’ll start immediately.”
