Summary
A spear thrown, a target found, and one desperate spell cast. Amasar Bulqusar is left scrambling to pick up the pieces after his best friend and fellow Warrior of Light, Nijoh'ir Jeshyo, casts a never before seen spell in a desperate attempt to save a life. With Nijoh'ir now in a coma and Ishgard still on the precipice of war Amasar finds the responsibilities of Eorzea fall to him even as he struggles to make sense of what happened at The Vault.
Meanwhile Nijoh'ir desperately struggles with the fallout of his actions while trapped within his own mind. But he is soon to find out that he is not alone in there, as his actions have consequences stretching far beyond what anyone could predict.
