Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are the hardest-working mammals in all of the ZPD precincts, and it's been noticed. The pair are forced to take a break, reassigned to a countryside town where there hasn't been a serious crime reported in over twenty years. Who knows how they'll deal with this change in pace, and is there more to the sleepy town than it seems?
“Timmy, it’s me, it’s Dick. Come on buddy, look at me.” He shakes Tim a little, placing a hand on his cheek and trying to get him to look at him, but the younger boy’s eyes stay downcast, seeming to look past Dick and straight through the floor. “Shit. Jason, go get Bruce.”
“What? What the fuck, what the hell is wrong with him?!” Jason demands, his voice loud from confusion and uneasiness.
“Just go get Bruce, now.” Dick snaps.

"It was his safe haven, his place to unwind and where he remembered old friends fondly. The photos scattered around the walls and posters and trinkets all had their memories tied into them, and he held them near and dear to his heart. Some of them were the last things he had left from certain friends, others were just… irreplaceable. Special."

Jason Todd is seriously injured during patrol one night, and is forced to stay at the manor to recuperate until his injuries are healed. To pass the time, he makes a list of things he never got to do before he died.
Except there's one small problem: most of them involve Bruce, and Jason doesn't really think Bruce cares all that much about him anymore.
This is a story about how wrong he is, but I made it sad anyway.

The obligatory angsty road trip fic across middle America with father-son bonding. Also involves an honest-to-god bucket list. You can /hear/ the acoustic folk soundtrack.
Or: Jason has a broken leg, daddy issues, and nightmares about stars and- other things. Eventually, he gets better.
