Karl is finding it more and more difficult to hide his feelings for his best friend, Sapnap. He's willing to risk it all for his chance at love, but does he really understanding just how much he's risking?

"I like being able to see your face, you should wear your hair up more often." Sapnap eventually responded, the loud sound of his keys clacking in the background.
Karl's heart was pounding so loudly he could hear it through his ears, muffling the loud noises coming from Sapnap's keyboard. He felt like he couldn't process this information, how Sapnap said this so calmly, like he had no inhibitions holding him back. Why couldn't Karl say things like that back to him? He was dumbfounded on how to respond. Should he make light of the situation, calling Sapnap a simp once more? Should he confess all of his feelings to his best friend right now, while he's still receptive?
"You.." Karl started, unable to finish his thought.
"I what?" Sapnap questioned plainly, his keys continued to clack rhythmically.
"Can't just say that sort of thing to me." Karl eventually let out. He was prepared for another uncomfortably long pause. He even debated on hanging up right then to avoid it.

Sapnap didn’t really know when the first few signs of the end started to appear. Was it when he was scrolling on his phone on the bus, laughing at a meme? or was it when he saw a woman collapse in his local supermarket?
Or was it when his professors informed them of the new lockdown that was gonna shut down all his classes. Sapnap still doesn’t know.In the beginning, lockdown was kinda nice, he could sleep an hour more and just roll over to grab his laptop and join the online classes with his roommate.
But that only lasted about two weeks before the panic started.
And Sapnap's life as he knew it ended.

Summary
They only have each other, Karl and Sapnap. Things seem to just want to mess up their lives, mess up their relationships and make problems for the two.
Quackity for one causes a lot feelings for the two, from heart- ache and sadness to anger and confusion. Losing one of your partners is never easy, it definitely isn't for them.
Karl struggles with his memory, which only gets worse and worse. He starts to forgets things and people who he never wanted to forget about but he does anyway. He can't do anything about it either. He struggles with that, he's scared to forget someone who he could barely live without.
Sapnap well, with both Quackity and Dream causing him some sort of problems he's having a tough time. Plus with Karl's whole memory thing, it's all a lot.
Could Karl forget him? He didn't want that, he couldn't have that happen.
Would the loss of their other lover, Quackity, be too much for either them or the way he seems to just sneak back into their lives at the worst moments.
Sapnap had already lost everyone at this point, he can't lose Karl too.Will they be able to make it through together or will they let others get in the way of that?

Behind him he heard the opening of the office door and turned his chair around. The person that entered his office called out to him.
“Karl? Are you here?” The sound of the other's voice flooded his body with happiness and quickly followed suit to his brain. Sapnap was like his battery or something, he never felt dull or out of energy around the other.
“Yeah, I’m behind the green screen.” Walking around the left side of the green screen Sapnap came face to face with Karl, his face immediately lighting up with relief.
Looking at the older his face was graced with the oh so sweet smile that Karl adored and he could feel himself falling all over again.
