4 Works in Slytherin Yamada Hizashi | Present Mic
21 Oct 2019
Not everyone is quite paired up yet before he’s being approached, though, and Shouta looks up in surprise. His eyes narrow when he sees who it is—or rather, what house they’re in. There’s a Slytherin boy standing in front of him, hand held out like he wants a handshake, smiling in a way that looks just friendly on the surface, but the green on his tie lets Shouta know he’s really a snake.
“Hey!” the boy says, smiling even brighter. “I’m Hizashi Yamada!”

“And. You're okay with sharing those with me?” he asked, peering up through his messy hair at Hizashi.
Hizashi tilted his head to the side in confusion. “Why wouldn't I be?”
Shouta shrugged, looking off to the side. “No reason.” Just that it seemed like something a couple would do, not...whatever they were. “So we'll meet in the Room at our usual time?”
“Absolutely! Pillow fort and pajama party!” Hizashi pressed a quick kiss to Shouta's cheek then dashed off. “See you later, Shouta!”
He watched his not-quite-boyfriend-but-definitely-more-than-a-friend leave, cheeks burning a bright red, doing everything he could to stop himself from pressing a hand to where Hizashi had just kissed him like a love-struck fool. He didn't quite succeed.

Aizawa Shouta was six when his life was ripped apart and stitched back together again. Yamada Hizashi was seven when he found a crack in the box of a life his parents kept him in. They haven't met yet, but the hands of Fate have already begun to steer them together.

Shouta’s scowl started coming back. “It can’t be that bad,” he scoffed. He wasn’t happy about this. Hizashi looked miserable not being able to participate in a conversation. Especially one about himself. The blond lived and breathed to be able to chatter others’ heads off.
Nemuri gave Shouta a look. “I dunno, Shouta,” she drawled happily. “When he talked to me earlier, he sounded like sin. Such a pretty, pretty voice you’ve got now, huh, ‘Zashi?”
Hizashi looked like he wanted the Great Hall to swallow him whole.
Shouta? Scowled down at his breakfast and stabbed a sausage. Damnit, he hated it when Hizashi was quiet. And what he hated even more was that right now? Learning that his not-quite-boyfriend-but-definitely-more-than -friends had the voice of a Siren? He knew the lore. Even if Sirens were extinct, they were popular in mythology even in the non-magical world. He wanted nothing more than to hear Hizashi speak.
Preferably his name.
