Summary
A proud eastern Free Marcher and veteran Grand Tourney victor, Adanith Trevelyan never cared for the South. To her understanding, Ferelden was busy enough crumbling under the rebellion. No need to say anything for Orlais, an egotist empire that was spilling needless blood with a civil war.
That was, until she had to go in her sister's place at the Conclave at the last minute. Her role, officially, was supposed to consist of quietly staring down her distant family and copying her cousin’s notes. Unofficially, it was also to drink plenty of alcohol and protest for mages to have rights.
But instead, that...was not the case.
And now, she is the Herald of Andraste and the chosen one to save Thedas.
Except, her hand was trying to kill her. And well.
She's an atheist.
////(Adanith Trevelyan is faceclaimed with Sevika from Arcane. I'm so proud of that shit.)

Summary
**BIG SPOILERS (if, like me, you got to this game over a decade late)**
A final scene for Dragon Age II, picking up from the moment the party walk out of the Gallows, because when the credits rolled it was like a spear going into my heart and I had to just... they had to SAY THINGS to each other.
In the aftermath of Meredith's defeat, Hawke's party make their way out of the city calling them its enemy. They are exhausted and fractured, unsure what there is for them and what they can still mean to each other and Thedas. They stop at the remains of The Hanged Man and finally break the silence.
[CW: Grief, displacement, personal conflict, loss of temper, emotional pain, negative self-talk, Fenris' fantasy version of chronic pain, fantasy oppression that isn't that fantasy, gallows humour, some descriptions of animal remains in the first part.
Please read the start notes before you yell at me about Anders discourse. Also please don't yell at me about Anders discourse. And yes I know I've made them walk a totally illogical route through Kirkwall, they needed to for art.]

Summary
Artemisia is a drifter from a world much like our own but with a few differences, the most notable of those difference being the existence of Werewolves and Vampires (amongst other things) hiding among the Human masses. Artemisia is a Werewolf drifter who has spent the last three years moving from city to city making money through labouring, song and the occasional underground fight. She had a good routine going until a green wormhole opened up while she was on the road and pulled her through it, across the dimensional barriers and into a brand new world. Now she has to keep her Lycanthropic heritage a secret in a world where werewolves are believed to be caused by demonic possession while leading an army that is basically a religious crusading force in an attempt to save the world… shit.

Summary
Galen Trevelyan thinks of Ostwick, where his friends are still sequestered, keeping well away from the war. He wishes, and not for the first time, that more Circles had been like Ostwick, and fewer like Kirkwall. Mage Trevelyan's story, revealed through letters, documents, and narrative.
(See my series note for some of the things I've reflected on and struggled with in writing a softened version of Ostwick. Comments welcome about all that.)

Summary
Dorian has a wonderful conversation with the Skyhold Librarian about improvements to the library's filing system and the innovations coming out of Minrathous when Vivienne comes by and points out he's just talking to himself. He's been waxing rhapsodic about the Tevinter equivalent of the Dewey decimal system to a spirit--or maybe a demon. So clearly they must go and investigate.
Featuring Solas singing to keep time as he paints a very time-sensitive fresco, a small child whose name Dorian just can't get right, and a spirit of Wonder.

Summary
Alistair runs into an older elven woman on the battlements, watching the children play in the Skyhold courtyard below. They get to talking: isn't it nice that the mages get to keep their children now? Then, in the course of the conversation, Alistair figures it out.
Alistair says, “I always wondered. What my life would’ve been like, if she could’ve kept me. I always kinda knew she didn’t have a choice. King’s bastards are the king’s, not whoever carried them. If she were a servant and if I’d end up in the kitchens or, better yet, the dairy. I really like cheese. But if she were a mage, I guess we never had any of that. Unless she ran away.”

Summary
I always loved stories. They were my means of escape from my boring, dull life. So, when I landed on Thedas with shiny new magical powers, it was a dream come true.
LITERALY. The fade is weird.
The only problem is, now that the story and the real world switched places, it’s not a freaking escape anymore! Now it’s up to me to use my foreknowledge, magic, and high school education to craft an even better ending than the one in the game, because for once in my life, I don’t really want to play the sequel.
If I succeed, I could get everything I ever wanted. Fortune, Power, and if I’m lucky, maybe even love.
If I fail..... well I don't really need to spell it out for you.
My name is James Aaron Black. And this is my story.Series
