Summary
Dad, the word made the itch in his veins grow; the crooks of his elbows burning in their calling to him, their begging for an old lover. Dad, dad, dad. The word was more than genetic material, it was more than a sperm donation or a household dictator, the likes his own had been. No, dad meant bedtime stories and school lunches, museum visits, trips to the cinema, hugs, caring. He wasn’t the kind to care. Love was a weakness.
Sherlock is struggling through withdrawal, trying to come to terms with the fact that his life has now changed forever, that he has a child, that he has to get clean, that it's time to move on. But maybe, if he's very lucky, he won't have to do it alone.
Before "The world was ending" but after "The child he had made."
Could stand alone, I think, but better with the other parts.Series

Summary
(You had promised your life. You had promised your death. You’d given it once, given every inch of your skin to be tortured, given every cell of your heart to burn so you could shake Moriarty’s hand in Hell while others lived. You’d tried to give it again, tried to draw the line of fire with agitation. Tried to keep her from Mary by keeping her on you. You’d seen it and understood it and lived it from the moment her finger twitched and the bullet left the barrel. But Mary…she’d understood it too. Kindness and cruelty. I think we’re even now, she’d said in her husband’s arms. You hadn’t wanted even. You’d wanted John’s happiness, no matter the cost, no matter you or drugs or death or pain or torture. You’d weighed yourself against Mary Watson, and John had found you lacking so you picked. You picked death and she stole it from you.)

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions, after all. It just so happens to be lined with self-destruction.

Summary
Sherlock Holmes never wanted to fall in love. It would put a huge dent in the armor that his 'stone-cold disconnected genius' persona provided him, so he vowed to never feel anything beyond friendly camaraderie for anyone or anything. And, for a while, it worked--that is until Y/N came along.
_____
Unbeknownst to all---even to Y/N, who works at the London Public Library---Sherlock finds the classic romance novels that he pretends to scorn utterly fascinating. However, it wasn't until Y/N moved into 221B with him that he starts to realize that he can relate more to the characters in those books than he cares to admit.

It starts off as being lab partners in their chemistry experiment, but balloons into an ambiguous bet right before the Sports Fest. And William's condition is his condition remaining a secret unless he wins. Can't he be any crueler?
[Or where Sherlock and William don't know how to confess to each other like normal people do, so they make convoluted ways to find out each other's feelings.]

Summary
Sherlock’s face did a horrible twist, his throat bobbed and he closed his eyes, letting the tears fall onto the floor. She joined him, sobs rocking both of their bodies as the past months caught up with them. The fear of the world changing, the worry over the future, the pain of losing Sabel, the absolute, overwhelming, crushing panic of not knowing what was going to happen now. Sherlock was a parent, and he wasn’t anywhere near ready for it.
Sherlock Holmes is now living with people he can hardly call friends, doing his best to adapt to the mess his life has become. He has a baby, he's dropping out of Cambridge, he is lost. Perhaps the world is ending after all.

Sherlock Is Smarter AU, or the Sherrinford Swap AU, where Euros doesn't exist, Sherlock is as smart as Euros, Mycroft locks Sherlock in Sherrinford, Sherlock isn't Sherlock's real name, and it's basically an angst AU.
This is a story in the Sherrinford Swap AU.
"MYCROFT! Don't leave me- no- no- don't leave me here!" Sherlock cried out, stumbling against the wall as he watched his brother wall away.

Summary
Sherlock is kidnapped and drugged. Nothing major, but in hospital, in front of John and Lestrade, Sherlock's undone mind begins to spill secrets Sherlock's kept buried for years
'Please don't send me back, Mycroft,' Sherlock said, his voice barely a whisper. His eyes were focused on something over John's shoulder. 'I can't take it anymore.'
A shiver ran down Lestrade's spine. The fear in Sherlock's eyes was so real, so raw. He was begging his brother.
Okay, to make this clear, the author of the original story couldn't continue writing this so I did. Won't be as good as the author wrote it or will be going as the author planned it to be.

Summary
Sherlock stared at it. The small creature stared back at him, wearing a piercing blue gaze he recognized as his own. He observed it for the first time in days, taking in the terrifyingly fragile thing that laid on the small replica of a bed. The thing he had made in his stupidity, the thing he was dooming in his weakness, the single thing he had left from the only person he’d found interesting in these wretched halls -and the only one who had been capable of tolerating him in return. She would be so disappointed, he was failing her. He was ruining it, just as he always feared he would.
Lost in a haze of alcohol and drugs and reeling from loss, Cambridge student Sherlock must make a choice. What happens now? He may just ruin it.
---
So, this is just an idea that had been invading my head for days, so I decided to write it down and see what happens. It's pre-canon, so Sherlock is still a nineteen-year-old kid. Long before he became the Consulting Detective we all know and love.
There did need to be a female companion here, but I have always considered Sherlock to have a preference for men, it just seems natural, so the dynamic a bit weird. But then, this is Sherlock.Series

Summary
“What’s going on?”
“An apology. It’s all true.”
It isn’t; true that is. He’s lying, and somehow this little lie causes a chasm to rip open in his chest. It doesn’t make much sense; it being the pain this little lie is causing him. He’s about to die, but his mind has latched itself onto the small lies he keeps spewing to John. He thinks for a moment that he’s displacing his anxieties. Being worried about the small lies is much easier than thinking about the big one.

'A Case of Poison Ivy and Stinging Nettles'
“Very original title, John,” Sherlock snorted. John glared up at his friend, his fingers hovering over the keyboard.
"The whole case it about betrayal, plants, and pharmaceuticals," he shot back. "It's a clever title."
"What about chemistry? There was plenty of chemistry."
"Our client was a botanist," John rolled his eyes and continued typing at the laptop. "Don't worry, there's plenty of mention of your glorious prowess with chemical reactions." -

Summary
John is accused of murder. Sherlock—knowing that his companion is not only incapable of committing such a vile act, but the facts of the case seem suspicious—meets his most puzzling and troubling case to date. The case is filled with tension and intrigue, all leading back to an encounter Sherlock once had with his most adept and vicious opponent, Professor James Moriarty.
This is based off an installment in the game developer Frogware’s wonderful Sherlock Holmes games, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, as well as bits and pieces from Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. This story will be updated every first Sunday of the month!

Summary
Sherlock rescues Irene Adler from the hands of terrorists in Karachi, Pakistan: setting her free and securing a place in his heart for her. But after the said events at the conclusion of A Scandal in Belgravia, so much remains undisclosed about their interesting relationship: an adventure in Berlin in the wake of The Reichenbach Fall ties them closer together, prying open their icy hearts once more. But even later still, in the aftermath of The Final Problem, an old enemy returns to seal Sherlock's fate. Will the detective and the woman have the courage to trust one another and risk vulnerability as they join forces in more ways than one?
Rated T for bits of sexual discussion and implications, language, and violence. In chapter three, a character recollects the struggle leading up to a rape (I don't write the gory, explicit sexual details of the rape). Post-Pakistan, Post-Reichenbach, Post-S4. Sticks to the canon, with author's own imagined Adlock possibilities. Full of Sherlockian action... :)
