There's no good way to explain this to someone, but he does have a prepared statement. Fat lot of good it's ever done him. "For a variety of reasons that I don't want to get into," Hux says, carefully, "I have developed a very limited sexual palette."
"Limited to what?" Ren's breath is warm on the back of Hux's neck. Hux resists the urge to glance down and see if the flush on his face has made its way to his chest.
"My hand," Hux says, defeated.

Sorry about the cornball title. If I think of a better one, I'll change it.
You're not fond of people. You know the statistics and see the evidence of evil all around you in the world. So you move to the woods, where you've always felt the most at peace. It's perfect: a quaint little cabin just a short hike away from Crystal Lake, but far enough from the notorious campground that you shouldn’t be disturbed by whoever disregarded the local legends to party it up on the shores of that lake.
You have heard those legends yourself: a killer stalks these woods. The vengeful soul of a boy who had drowned and then came back as a man, or rather as an unstoppable force that kills all who dare step foot in his territory. Jason Voorhees, they call him, and he kills to avenge his Mother and the child that he’d been, choking and struggling at the bottom of that lake while the camp counselors in charge of his safety looked the other way.
But urban legends aren’t enough to dissuade you from your chosen new residence. Alone at last, you think to yourself... but you are wrong about that. You’ll find out just how wrong very soon.
It starts like this: when James is fifteen, Teddy quits Auror training and leaves England. Ten years later, he shows up on James’s doorstep with a baby in his arms.
