Sang is on the run, having been a key witness to a case against her own family. She has one year, one year left of being in the Witness Protection Program when she's found and has to escape to Charleston, South Carolina. She enrolls her final year in Ashley Waters, where she now has to take even more elaborate measures to hide herself.
Sang is no longer Sang, but instead Sage.
Her hair is cut short, her chest binded, and she's now afraid. Afraid of the man her father had hired to find her, afraid of the nightmares her mother left behind, afraid to let those guys in.
But everything always seems to find her, and Sang's past is beginning to catch up with her.
