Before the Jedi and the Sith, there was the Je'daii, a monastic order of Force-sensitives that taught the way of balance, using both the Light and the Dark. They were based on Tython, a planet saturated in the Living Force that holds many mysteries.
This is an AU where Dooku leaves the Jedi Order within a few months following the Battle of Galidraan (as opposed to twelve years later), finds a partner who is in many ways his opposite, they take in an orphan named Han Solo, and they eventually find their way to Tython to restore the Je'daii, as the antidote to the corruption plaguing the Galaxy.
Please note that as this story is set in an alternate universe, there may be OOC moments. I also use the "Crack Treated Seriously" and "Alternate Universe - Crack" tags for a reason. There is also a bit of smut.
The story spans decades, and while it focuses on the relationship between Dooku and the OMC, other characters are brought in (see tag list) and this story can be thought of as an alternate history, prequel trilogy era (and pre-prequels). There will be at least one sequel.

Starts twelve years after the end of "Stuck In the Middle With You". It is recommended you read "Stuck" before this one, for context on what is happening here.
An alternate universe where Qui-Gon Jinn never dies, Dooku leaves the Jedi Order but never goes Sith - becoming the Grandmaster of the New Je'daii Order (grey Force users) on Tython, a wild planet rich in the Living Force that holds many mysteries. The Je'daii and the Rebel Alliance stand against the genocidal Republic, with the Jedi headed by Anakin Skywalker, who now calls himself Vader (The Father), on a crusade to wipe out "Dark Side heretics". Anakin's children, Luke and Leia Skywalker, were raised on Tython by Padmé and Ahsoka; Han Solo was raised by Dooku and Sev (an OMC), and is an adult now. Han and Leia build a family together, and Sev and Dooku's relationship evolves and grows deeper and stronger.
As this is set in an alternate universe, there may be OOC moments. Please note the "Crack Treated Seriously" and "Alternate Universe - Crack" tags.
This story is told in first person POV, with multiple rotating narrators.

"You know of the other universes, the other selves who live in them--who we would be if things had turned out that way instead of this," she said. "Tell me... is it possible for someone to live on when all her other selves have ceased to exist?"
"Did it ever occur to you, when you intervened to save Leia's life, that it wasn't just her that this... UnForce thing... was going after, but you, as well? And when you died, everywhere but here, it may have saved Leia, but it still accomplished half of that thing's goal? And that all that death, converging and killing you, slowly, like this... is part of that goal?"
No one's ever really gone.
A crossover between the Return of the Je'daii and New Dawn 'verses (and some additional crossover with the 'verses A New Dawn crosses with). A one shot from No Church in the Wild and set before the beginning of the New Dawn 'verse.
