“My legs hurt,” Alayne groans, caressing her knees through her black cloak. “I’m tired of travelling. Do we really have to go that far up North?”
“My lady, you know as well as me that there is no other place for us to go,” Myranda replies.
“Jon, we’ll explain everything to you. But please, calm down,” Davos says.
Jon opens his mouth to speak, or perhaps to growl again, then his eyes drop to Davos’ neck and he freezes in realisation, eyes wide as if hit by a sudden light. He lowers his gaze and stands there, naked, Tormund seizing both of his arms lest he lash out again.
What in the seven hells happened to you?
Having spent too much time warging Ghost after his death, Jon comes back with little of his previous self left in him. He wakes with blurry memories of his life before his death and thirsty for the blood of those who betrayed him. Only Alayne Stone, a bastard girl who has no memory of her former life as Sansa Stark, seems to be able to soothe the feral fury that consumes him. Both lonely and lost, they feel drawn to each other in ways they don’t understand, almost as if they knew each other before the world came crashing down on them.
