Summary
Charlotte Heywood is a journalist recently hired to work in the Sanditon bureau for a news organization. A series of stories about the new resort in town puts her in the path of the Parker family, including Sidney Parker who is healing from and wrestling with demons from his past. Tom, Arthur, Georgiana… the gang’s all here. Eliza makes an appearance and zany hijinks ensue. There is a guaranteed Sidlotte HEA. This story was started last summer and is meant to give you a sense of summer fun. It is nearly written and will be completed!

Summary
Inspired by some chats online, this is a not at all serious, tongue in cheek version of Season 2 (which will probably end up being quite sentimental, knowing me). Torn asunder by a cruel twist of fate, Charlotte and Sidney go their separate ways. Sidney, in particular, suffers a great deal and by the time he reappears, he is so altered that he is almost unrecognisable (and therefore can be played by any old actor...) Charlotte too does not have quite the glamorous, independent adventure she might have hoped for.
But all will be well in the end - I promise!
Like any good soap opera, a few of the other characters get killed off, but don't worry, you won't miss them.
With apologies to Castaway (Tom Hanks), Robinson Crusoe, Titanic, Jane Eyre (of course!) and a little bit of the Mayor of Casterbridge and Lady Chatterley's Lover. If I get carried away with the Lady Chatterley stuff, I'll change the rating :)

As with everything I’ve put on AO3, there will be a HEA after some twists and turns. I typically update one or two times per week, work permitting. For those interested…Butter is included 😊 as if I had a choice!
Oh, and it’s rated mature but I’m really bad at ratings so there might (will) be some E as well…and typos (is that the T rating?), there will be unintended typos—consider it part of the mystery we can all solve!

Sidney was married to Eliza, but she died in child birth 5 years prior. Sidney has two adoptive children. After all this time they are both free again. Will there be a chance to find each other again? Will Charlotte learn to trust and love him again. Only time will tell.

Charlotte is returning home to attend the Christmas wedding of her good friend, Georgiana. She has a little mishap with Georgiana's brother in the airport before she knows who he is.
Just a silly little story I wrote for Christmas fun. When I ask on twitter if everyone wants a regency Christmas fic or a modern Christmas fic, it's always split down the middle of preference. So, I gave everyone both. This is the modern one.
I decided against ending this story after one chapter and have planned out a few more chapters.
Please be aware, this story will have some angst and drama as any good story does, especially in the Sanditon world. Things may end up going badly before they get better.
