Summary
I was really surprised by the ending of Borrasca. And, tbh, I was pretty traumatized. Like, waking up in the middle of the night traumatized. I needed some closure, so I wanted to flesh out Kimber’s story instead of waiting for a season 2 to do that…if it does that. I wanted to bring her some healing — to get her to the point where she'd be able to find Sam and engage with him.
Major Trigger Warnings for rape and sexual assault. I'm not going to get graphic, but it needs to be dealt with.
Spoilers for all of season 1 of Borrasca.

Summary
“Who the fuck-” Eric starts as he pulls open the door, ready to tell the person in question to fuck right off, half expecting it to be some old junkie friend of Sam’s looking for a fix or some shit, but the words die in his throat. Because the person standing in the hallway, right underneath the broken light bulb in front of their apartment, is Sam Walker himself. Or, it kind of is.
OR
Sam comes back to Chicago to say goodbye before he starts his new life.

Summary
“Don’t know how much longer I can do this, man.”
Kyle’s voice sounds small and low in the cramped interior of Sam’s car, his eyes fixed onto some point far off in the settling dusk on the other side of the windshield as he passes Sam the joint. Their fingers brush when Sam reaches for it and he takes a deep drag before he answers, takes a second to bask in the way the world grows progressively more fuzzy around the edges, softer, a layer of cotton settling over everything and numbing down the pain in his shoulder.
OR
Sam and Kyle try to find ways to cope with this new situation they're stuck in. It doesn't end well.

Summary
The moment Sam steps through the door to their shitty little apartment, Eric knows what’s about to happen. He’s always been good at reading Sam, the guy’s an open fucking book, doesn’t even pretend to bother hiding his intentions most of the time when it comes to his pursuits in life and Eric knows the look on Sam’s face much too well. That gleam of single-minded intent just barely covering up the shivery, straining desperation underneath. And he knows that it’s been a bad day for Sam. Those fucking talks with his new social worker are really taking it out of him and Eric’s still not 100% sure if they’ll actually end up helping or if that woman will just succeed in fucking Sam up even more. But Sam needs someone to listen to him, needs someone to believe him, and Eric’s tried, he has, but that’s not what Sam’s using him for, he guesses.
OR
Sam needs a fix but doesn’t have the money. Good thing Eric's got something other than drugs he can provide and money’s never been what Eric is after with Sam anyway.
